Create Prop Challenge (Prop Firm Simulator)
Evaluation challenges from prop firms have strict rules that, if broken by even a single dollar, result in immediate account failure. Kaptur includes an integrated simulator that analyzes your trades in real time to verify whether you would pass or fail an exam.
1. Setting Up a Prop Challenge
- Go to the Prop Firm Simulator screen in the navigation menu.
- If you don't have an active challenge, you will be presented with the Start Challenge setup screen.
- Choose one of the pre-configured profiles for popular firms, or tap Custom to configure your own limits:
- Challenge Name: Identify your evaluation (e.g., "Stage 1 50K Challenge").
- Starting Capital: The base balance assigned to the account (e.g.,
50,000 USD). - Target Profit: The net profit required to pass (e.g.,
3,000 USD). - Daily Loss Limit: The maximum loss allowed in a single market session.
- Dynamic Daily Drawdown: Enable this if the daily limit is calculated based on the previous day's closing balance or high-water mark.
- Max Drawdown (Absolute or Trailing): The total loss limit of the account. Check the Trailing Drawdown box if the limit trails upward as your closed profits increase.
- Minimum Trading Days: The number of independent days you must open and close at least one trade.
- Consistency Target: The rule requiring that no single day accounts for more than a specific percentage of your total profit (e.g., 30% consistency rule).
- Analysis Start Date: Choose when the simulator should start evaluating your trades from your transaction history.
2. Monitoring Your Active Challenge
Once the challenge starts, the interface will switch to the Active Challenge Dashboard:
- Account Status: Displays a color-coded indicator reflecting your status:
- 🟡 In Progress: You are operating within the limits and chasing the profit target.
- 🟢 Passed: You reached the target profit and respected all rules.
- 🔴 Blown: You broke one of the challenge rules.
- Progress Bar: Shows how close you are to reaching the target in currency and percentage.
- Daily Loss and Drawdown Status: Real-time risk cards showing how much you have lost today and in total, along with the exact remaining buffer before blowing the account.
- Consistency Metrics: Displays your active trading days, best day profit, and current consistency ratio.
