Playbook and Discipline Rules
A Playbook is the set of strict rules and conditions that define your trading strategy and execution plan. In Kaptur, your rules are not dead text: the system mathematically measures how compliance affects your bottom line.
1. Creating and Customizing Your Trading Rules
Kaptur comes pre-configured with a list of basic disciplinary rules, but it is best to adapt them to your specific plan:
- Go to the Playbook screen in the bottom menu.
- In the rules section, tap the Edit button next to the rule you want to modify.
- Write your custom rule in clear, actionable language (for example, "Wait for the 5-minute candle to close" or "Do not risk more than 1% of capital per trade").
- Tap Save. You can rewrite your rules at any time.
2. Comparing Performance (The Impact of Discipline)
On the Playbook screen, you will see the main discipline impact card. This card automatically compares two fundamental statistics based on the trades you have audited:
- Win Rate with Playbook: The win rate of trades where you marked that you complied with your trading plan rules.
- Win Rate without Playbook: Your win rate on trades where you operated outside your rules (e.g., chasing price, FOMO, or overtrading).
- Monthly Discipline Rate: Calculates the percentage of disciplined trades for the current month out of the total trades.
TIP
If your win rate with playbook is 68% and your rate without playbook is 35%, Kaptur will prove to you with real, undeniable data that trading outside your rules is equivalent to giving money away to the market.
