Getting Started with Kaptur
Welcome to Kaptur. In this guide, we will show you how to complete the initial setup of your application and protect your financial data using advanced, local security tools.
The Welcome Flow
When you open Kaptur for the first time, you will be greeted by our interactive onboarding assistant. This assistant will introduce you to the core pillars of the application: smart trade scanning, absolute privacy of your records, and building discipline through habits.
- Open the application on your mobile device.
- Swipe right to explore the explanatory welcome pages.
- Tap Continue or Understood to navigate through the interactive tutorial.
- On the final page, set up the biometric protection for your account.
Configuring the PrivacyVault (Biometric Lock)
To prevent unauthorized access to your records and keep your finances private, Kaptur includes PrivacyVault, an integrated biometric protection system.
- On the final screen of the onboarding assistant, tap the Enable Biometric Security button.
- Confirm your identity using your device's fingerprint sensor or facial recognition.
- If you prefer to configure this later, you can tap Maybe later and activate it at any time from the Settings menu by toggling the Biometric lock option.
IMPORTANT
If biometric activation fails or is cancelled by mistake, the app will continue to load normally to ensure you never lose access to your data, but it is highly recommended to enable it in your Settings.
Your Financial Data Never Goes to the Cloud
At Kaptur, we firmly believe in personal data sovereignty. Your information is yours and yours alone.
- Silent Local Storage: Your entire trade database, linked chart screenshots, emotional states, and personal notes are saved directly and exclusively in the internal storage of your own device.
- No Central Servers: We do not transmit your balances, traded tickers, or profits to any external Kaptur cloud servers for storage.
- No Account Required: You do not need to register an email address or create an external account to use the main features of the app, eliminating the risk of massive data leaks.
